Ship Loaders
Ship Loaders
Ship loaders
Ship Loaders are large machines used for continuously loading dry bulk materials such as cement, fly-ash, Alumina into ships or barges. Our Ship Loaders are available in Stationary, Dock mobile, and Gantry Mobile configurations. All our configurations are suitable for open hatch (option 1) and closed hatch (option 2) loading. Ship Loaders often incorporate a central column, a receiving hopper (sometimes a screw conveyor or bucket elevator), a filter package, an extendable arm or boom, an air slide extending on top of the boom structure, a slewing mechanism, and a loading chute to transfer dry bulk material to the ship or barge. The boom can move front and back by separate drives to fill the whole breadth of the ship hold and adapt to the ships increasing draught while it is loaded.
The following configurations are available for Ship Loaders:

System Configurations
Dock mobile ship loader
This Dock Mobile ship loader or wheel-mounted ship loader is designed to reach all ship’s holds without moving the vessel. This process also significantly reduces operating costs regarding the loading times expended and human resources required. Our Dock Mobile Ship Loader configuration is free to move around the dock area and can be stored conveniently after the vessel is loaded; the dock area is free for other operations.
KEY BENEFITS
-
Ideal for shared dock space
-
Dock is free of obstacles such as rails or conveyor belts
-
Energy efficient gravity loading
-
Integrated dedusting unit
-
Automated
-
Continuous material flow

Gantry mobile ship loader
This Gantry Mobile Ship Loader or rail-travelling ship loader benefits from the portability of design, as this configuration can create a loading process that is much less complicated than a stationary Ship Loader. Because of its mobile capabilities, the Loader can reach all ship holds without moving the vessel. This process also significantly reduces operating costs in both time expended and workforce required. Our Gantry Mobile Ship Loader configuration is relegated to linear rail lines installed along the length of the dock. Gantry Mobile Ship Loaders require, therefore, additional investments in installing dock railings.

stationary ship loader
Because the Stationary Ship Loaders are a fixed installation, the structure and operations are very simple and, therefore, have lower maintenance costs. Our Stationary Ship Loaders operate within the confines of the dock length; no costly redesign of dock length is required. Stationary Ship Loaders are suitable for dock sites and terminals with a small footprint available. This Ship Loader uses airslide gravity conveying for loading the dry bulk material into the ship’s hold. Because of this airslide gravity conveying principle, this Ship Loader is the most energy-efficient unit available on the market.
