A Pneumatic Ship Unloader (PSU) is defined as an stand-alone unit that has the unique ability to unload dry material from bulk Carriers or ships to a storage facility or silo. Lion Bulk Handling can provide two Ship Unloader brands, Kintec and FLSmidth KOVAKO. All our ship unloaders are available in several different models and sizes, for example stationary, gantry mobile, dock mobile, road mobile and as a floating terminal. Lion Bulk Handling is an authorized supplier of FLSmidth KOVAKO ship and barge unloaders.
The brands are renowned throughout the world for our experience in pneumatic conveying installations and bulk material handling systems. We have delivered numerous pneumatic ship and barge unloading installations. Today, we offer a range of standard models that match optimal unloading capacity with typical vessel. Our Kintec ship unloaders are delivered for closed loop operation, in combination with our Carlsen Fluidized ships and barges. The KOVAKO ship unloader units are our (standardized) open hatch ship unloader, for unloading regular bulk carriers/ships.
Several materials can be transported and conveyed with the Kintec and KOVAKO material handling systems, including powders such as cement, fly ash, barite, bentonite, lime, gypsum, and so on. The dry bulk materials are transferred to the receiving storage facility in the most simple and cost-effective way possible.
