To ensure a safe and healthy working environment for the personnel working with the dry material handling systems, and especially within the dry material storage tanks, it is important that workers wear breathing equipment. Lion Bulk Handling can deliver a complete standalone breathing apparatus to secure that the personnel on board can work safely within a dusty environment.
The Lion Bulk Handling Cargo control system (CCS) is a standalone digital system specially designed to control all the functions and sequences of the material handling system, such as instrumentation signals, alarms, etc., which are required for loading, unloading and venting. See below for a schematic image. The CCS software incorporates a human-machine interface (HMI) which allows control of the CCS via touchscreens or a keyboard & track ball if preferred. The CCS has predefined process steps that require the operator to manually select which valves to open or close using the HMI. – The HMI displays process information about the current process, e.g. pressure, level, weight and/or alarms. – The HMI can provide specific process information to other systems
Lion Bulk Handling can supply a wide range of quick couplings as well as highly specialised connectors for all types of circuits and applications. We can arrange deck connection equipment for all our fluid and dry material systems. Our products deliver high performance and long-term reliability.
Lion Bulk Handling uses hi-flow fluidisation fabric within all dry material handling systems to ensure that residue material left in the tanks or ship holds after discharge is reduced to an absolute minimum. This unique Carlsen (a Lion bulk handling brand) invention, applied in the pressure tanks or cargo holds of ships, is undoubtedly the most cost-effective way to fluidise dry material.
